Rather than spend blog after blog writing Pulitzer worthy awesomeness on each show, I thought I would do one comprehensive blog and take you through the most recent Autumn/Winter shows (and tell you how to steal the look) at New York Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, so that you don miss a single hairstyle or makeup look from the key shows. Wouldn want you to be sitting a dinner party and someone ask you, was it a red or a pink lip at the Proenza Schouler show? HAHA! Trick question. That show hasn been on yet. Sucker.
Copy this makeup: Tom Pecheux, for MAC Cosmetics called this makeup, a cocktail look. First, Pecheux applied matte foundation, then turned his attention to the eyes, creating an ombr effect with navy blue shimmer shadow and pale gray shadow, with a hint of gold pencil to the under eye area. He then added lots of black mascara and a hint of pale pink blush, he told WWD. Lips were a nude lip pencil topped with a sheer lavender gloss. Preeeeetty.

Copy this (very lovely) hair: Paul Hanlon for ghd helped take Mr Williamson away from his usual luxeboho look for a stronger, more polished look. Hanlon went for stick straight hair with a blunt edge, (using guess what that right! a fork! No, no, it was a ghd, don all rush to the kitchen) deep side parts and sprayed roots down before letting the hair fall into soft mid lengths to ends. Copy this makeup: Charlotte Tilbury for MAC Cosmetics was inspired by those browny sepia photos popular in the and She began with a smidge of foundation, purely to even out skin tone, then used a mother of pearl illuminator (my guess is it was similar to this this) the top of the cheekbones, on the cupid bow, and down the nose for all over illumination. On the eyes, Tilbury used a neutral cream shadow as a base and covering it with plenty of MAC Bling black gloss for a wet, slightly smoky look. No mascara. None at all. Some cream blush and a swipe of nude gloss and all done.
